About Alex
Alex Phung is an entrepreneur, business strategist, and community advocate who brings more than two decades of experience in business, technology, innovation, and marketing to the Downtown Lincoln Association.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, Alex spent approximately 20 years with UPS, where his career included roles in Industrial Engineering, logistics and supply chain, innovation, and product development. His work gave him the opportunity to collaborate with emerging technology companies and startups, helping develop and implement new ideas within a large global organization.
Today, Alex is the founder of Zora Nova Design Agency, a Lincoln-based business growth and marketing agency that works with startups, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. His work combines business strategy with website development, branding, local SEO, digital marketing, AI optimization, and content creation to help businesses strengthen their presence and identify new opportunities for growth.
Alex believes small businesses are an essential part of what gives a community its identity and that technology, marketing, and collaboration can help local businesses compete and thrive in a rapidly changing marketplace.
Serving Downtown Lincoln
As a member of the Downtown Lincoln Association Board of Directors and Chair of the Communications & Marketing Committee, Alex helps guide the DLA's marketing, digital communications, website, social media, branding, and outreach efforts.
Alex also serves on the Membership Committee, where he works to strengthen the value of DLA membership, connect with local businesses, welcome new members, and encourage greater participation within the organization.
He brings an entrepreneurial and forward-thinking perspective to the Board, with a focus on finding new ways to promote Downtown Lincoln, improve communication, grow membership, and demonstrate the value a strong downtown organization can provide to the local business community.
For Alex, serving on the DLA Board is about more than promoting downtown. It's about bringing business owners, community leaders, residents, and organizations together around a shared investment in Lincoln's future.
He believes that when local businesses succeed, the entire community benefits, and that a strong Downtown Lincoln can play an important role in preserving Lincoln's character while creating opportunities for its future.
