🎃 Downtown Lincoln Trick or Treat 2025: A Spooktacular Success in the Heart of Downtown
Downtown Lincoln came alive this Halloween as families filled Beermann Plaza and the surrounding streets for one of our favorite annual traditions, Downtown Trick or Treat!
This year’s event brought together over 25+ local businesses, each handing out candy, hosting games, and creating fun activities for the hundreds of little ghosts, superheroes, k-pop demon hunters and princesses who joined the celebration. It was an afternoon filled with laughter, costumes, and community spirit.
Music, Costumes, and Community Magic
The plaza was filled with excitement from the moment the event began. Music echoed through Beermann Plaza, families danced, and kids proudly showed off their costumes. Laughter and energy filled the air, turning downtown Lincoln into the heart of Halloween fun for the entire community.
Adding to the fun, City of Lincoln Mayor Holly Andreatta joined us as the Costume Contest judge, helping choose the winners who each took home one of our signature cake prizes. From creative group costumes to the tiniest trick-or-treaters, everyone brought their Halloween SCARY-game!
A Celebration of Local Businesses and Community
Events like this wouldn’t be possible without our amazing local businesses, volunteers, and families who make downtown such a vibrant place to live, work, and gather. From DJ Professor Rock-Ola keeping the music going, to Jennyennio Photography (elkinimages.com) capturing unforgettable moments, and all the incredible businesses that donated their time, talent, and services, your generosity made this event truly special.
A huge thank-you to our Event Committee, committee chairs, and DLA Board Members, especially Elise Gustafson, Kim Watts, and Kristie Baker, for their time, creativity, and dedication. We don’t pat ourselves on the back often, but it’s worth saying: without the volunteer spirit of our DLA members and board, none of this would happen.
Your commitment and teamwork are what keep Lincoln’s downtown thriving and full of life.
